The brief
An anonymous AI image practice needed one home for its pictures, ComfyUI workflows, LoRAs and essays, with a look as particular as the images themselves.
What I built
unæthered, a site whose homepage is a sampler: a prompt types itself, and the picture resolves out of noise as the sentence grows.
- Hover a phrase to see the part of the picture it paints. Weight it and the picture answers: it glows, burns past 1.5, and dissolves back into noise at 0.
- The tools are laid out as nodes on a ComfyUI-style canvas, and visitors can ask to hear when one is ready.
- A mailing list with double opt-in, run by the site’s own Worker: confirmation by token, one-click unsubscribe and a rate limit on sign-ups.

How it works
Astro renders every page, and every page reads complete without JavaScript; Svelte and GSAP add the motion on top. The sampler is a toy, not a model: it blurs and un-blurs pictures that already exist, so nothing is generated in the browser. A Worker in front of the static site runs the mailing list against D1 and sets strict security headers on every response.
What came of it
Live at unaethered.com. By the time someone has played with the homepage, they know what a prompt weight does: the site explains the craft by letting you use it.
