The brief

A fourth-grade teacher’s day is a timetable that never survives contact with the classroom: pull-outs, specials, a co-teacher, and a room full of students on the move.

What I built

A day planner made for that day, and only that day.

  • Daily scheduling with student movement tracking: who is where, and when they come back.
  • Future days prepared ahead, and shared with a co-teacher.
  • A classroom canvas teachers can decorate, plus a student-safe view for the Smart Board.

How it works

Petal has three front ends from one model: a desktop planner, a phone view for the hallway, and a Smart Board view that shows only what students should see.

What came of it

Built with the teacher it’s for, which made every decision easier: if it didn’t help a real Tuesday, it didn’t ship.

What happens after you email

  1. You email what you need; I reply by email with questions.
  2. A written, fixed-scope proposal.
  3. I build it, and hand it over with everything you need to run it.
