The brief

Most mobile solitaire is a slot machine wearing a card table: ads between hands, streaks to protect, and a timer on everything. The game itself deserves better.

What I built

A cozy pixel-art Klondike for iPhone, and a website that boots like a 1998 desktop.

  • One new hand every day, seeded by the date, so everyone plays the same deal.
  • No ads, no tracking and no streak guilt. A $4.99 Deluxe unlock sits quietly on a shelf.
  • Twenty-four pixel-art card backs to collect, and the cascade when you win, just like the old one.

How it works

The game is SwiftUI on iOS 18. The site is Astro, dressed as a 1998 desktop: a menu bar, desktop icons, a start menu and a live cascade you can replay.

What came of it

Solitaire Nook is free on the App Store. The site sells it the same way the game plays: calm, a little nostalgic, and never in your way.
